eCommerce Cash flow Portal
This template is inspired by the book keeping activities that eCommerce merchants need to manage for operating their online stores. While some eCommerce SaaS platforms provide tools to track important metrics, there is no convinient way for creating portable reports. Moreover, there are documents like invoices, bills and receipts that are often a part of the order lifecycle or business operation that need to be created and managed by the store owners.
In this project we focus on two key financial metrics of any business, viz. net income and
total expenses.
We identify the sources of incoming and outgoing cash for an online cosmetics store.
Then, with the vast possibilities of deriving detailed insights
through SQL, we configure the reports. We also introduce file generation with the row
values of a report. This template also concentrates on
sharing
files related to operational activities in a tabular format.
A report for file-sharing will have the following intrinsic properties:
1. Access control.
2. Easy view of a file on a browser tab.
3. Secure download of a file.
4. Ability to upload a file of specifed formats only.
5. Ability to apply constraints on the file attributes.
6. Ability to group heterogenous files related to a transaction.
Today, a number of platforms help track a business's financials—whether through custom
applications, enterprise software, or spreadsheets.
However, business owners still need a tool that enables the creation of custom
reports connecting multiple relational database tables, that support file generation.
As far as file sharing is concerned, there are limited no-code/low-code tools that provide
cloud storage options in storing,
retriving and sharing large files.
People are familiar with enterprise workspace software.
However, they only provide basic file sharing capabilities,
without any way to specify custom actions or attributes in reports for analytics.
Our platform will enable users to create forms with mathematical expressions for dynamic
calculation of numeric field values
like taxes, discounted price and arrear. Through our JSON configs, users will be able to
incorporate certain important features of a spreadsheet.
The final outcome will be a comprehensive financial dashboard that provides insights into the
eCommerce store's cashflow through extensive drilldown on various parameters.
